The EVO will respond to non-emergent medical transports, assisting their EMT partner with moving patients to and from the ambulance stretcher, loading the stretcher into the ambulance, and providing exemplary transport using knowledge and skills in driving to avoid sudden motions detrimental to patients. EVOs are an integral part of the healthcare system and make a significant impact on patients' lives. The role of the EVO demands quick thinking, compassion, and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver timely and effective pre-hospital care.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESTransports the ill and injured to institutions of medical care;Operates emergency vehicles in a safe manner under all conditions;Ensures vehicles and equipment for transport readiness;Cleans and maintains equipment;Maintains strict compliance with all policies and procedures;Maintains strict compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the state and federal programs;Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSGraduation from High School or equivalent19 years old at time of hire for insurance purposesValid driver's licenseAbility to drive company vehicles with a clean driving recordSuccessful completion of a state sponsored EVOC course or ability to complete company provided courseAbility to obtain a Public Service Commission License (PSC)Ability to work independently with little direct supervisionAbility to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectivelyAbility to pass a lift test of 150 - 200 poundsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testAbility to pass a pre-employment background checkAbility to work around machinery and moving partsAbility to work outdoors during all weather conditionsAbility to speak and write EnglishPREFERRED SKILLSExcellent customer service skillsExcellent driving skillsProblem solving#J-18808-Ljbffr
