  • Excellent communication skills, essential for presenting renewals to clients and delivering open enrollment presentations to employees, with the ability to provide non-technical explanations of technical matters and summarize and present information in a clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal format.
  • Able to provide technical expertise, industry knowledge, and excellent client service skills to meet the needs of clients and address any difficulties they may encounter.
  • You're also a quick learner, and technology is your friend – you usually know all the shortcuts and what you don't know, you learn quickly.
  • You have an active Life & Health license. If you have a college degree, that sends you to the top of the list, but it is not required. If you have an insurance designation, that is even better!
  • You're always ready to step up and take on new duties when necessary.

THE JOB

A Senior Client Manager contributes to C3's success by performing the following:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients in your book of business, building strong relationships and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
  • Responding to and resolving routine issues clients may encounter regarding benefit services and coverage questions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with Client Service Executives (CE) on more complex accounts to conduct strategic planning meetings, prepare marketing strategies, and identify opportunities for additional coverage.
  • Conducting or overseeing marketing efforts, negotiating rates, reviewing quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Preparing and reviewing renewals, proposals, and open enrollment materials to ensure they are accurate and complete in content, compliant with company and regulatory guidelines, and reflect a professional appearance.
  • Working closely with carrier representatives to ensure smooth implementation of new plans.
  • Reviewing policies, contracts, EOCs, and summaries for accuracy and ensuring clients receive them timely to distribute to their employees.
  • Keeping clients in compliance by preparing required documents, filing 5500s, completing required annual reporting or testing, etc.
  • Conduct employee open enrollment meetings to communicate benefit options.
  • Maintain client files in C3's BenefitPoint agency system.
  • Audit invoices post-renewal to ensure accuracy.
  • Support producers in securing new business.
  • Be willing to train other team members and share expertise.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
