Position Summary
Advantage Benefits Group (ABG) is Michigan's largest independent employee benefits firm serving many of the region's finest employers. ABG was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Grand Rapids with additional locations in Traverse City and the Detroit area. The ideal candidate for this position will have Sales experience, preferably in a related field. The first 2 years are salary guarantee while building the new book of business!
Essential Functions
Identify and develop perspective clients through networking via telephone and in- person contact
Initiate and develop relationships with quality employers
Conduct employee meetings for clients
Evaluate plan performance
Evaluate and negotiate benefits, rates, services, and performance guarantees
Evaluate alternative funding arrangements
Benchmark client benefit programs
Travel to client locations to hold meetings and give presentations
Competency
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
Ability to take initiative, and inspire others with enthusiasm and positive energy
Strong verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to treat confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work/appearance/manners
Ability to build and maintain business relationships with new and existing clients
Ability to be self-directed, work independently, and as part of a team
Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills
