Job Description:

Summary: The Employee Benefits Insurance Team Lead oversees a team responsible for managing and coordinating employee benefit insurance programs within the organization. This role involves leading a team to administer, analyze, and optimize employee insurance benefits while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing excellent service to employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of benefit insurance specialists.
    • Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and individual growth.
  • Insurance Program Management:
    • Oversee the administration of various employee insurance benefit programs, including health, life, disability, and other related insurance offerings.
    • Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure the smooth functioning and optimization of insurance plans.
    • Analyze and evaluate insurance plan data to identify trends, potential cost savings, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence:
    • Ensure all insurance benefit programs adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Stay updated with changes in insurance regulations, communicating necessary adjustments to the team.
    • Work closely with legal and compliance departments to ensure all insurance programs are compliant.
  • Employee Support and Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding insurance benefits, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Collaborate with the HR department to develop and deliver effective communication strategies related to insurance benefits.
    • Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure they understand their insurance benefits and coverage.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee the maintenance of accurate employee insurance records and data.
    • Generate and analyze reports on insurance program performance, utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Use data insights to make informed recommendations for improving benefit offerings.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in employee benefits administration, insurance management, or a similar role, with at least [3 years] in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
    • In-depth knowledge of insurance benefit programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Strong understanding of insurance industry trends, practices, and principles.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and benefit administration software.
