What role you will play on our team

We are looking for an Employee Communications Advisor to help us create engaging communications that our employees want and need. This role will play a critical part in sharing more about the work we do in unique, creative ways.

What you will do
  • Partner closely with members of the employee communications team to create comprehensive plans for key topics across the company or business lines.
  • Bring strategic plans to life by crafting content across several internal channels, including intranet posts, emails, digital signs, and leader presentations.
  • Work with creative partners (internal resources and external agencies) as needed to bring your story ideas to life with multimedia assets.
  • Follow standardized processes and SLAs to ensure content is created, reviewed and approved in a timely manner across channels.
About you

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a passion for storytelling, AP-style writing and collaboration. You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (in communications, journalism, or related field preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, including employee communications, content creation, editing, or related areas.
  • Experience working with subject matter and translating technical content into digestible communications for broad audiences.
  • Expert level writing and editing skills.
  • Initiative and are a self-starter.
  • A journalistic curiosity.
  • Familiarity and interest in issues related to energy, economics, the environment, sustainability, corporate citizenship and government relations.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to apply learning to other database environments.
  • Expertise in AP style.
  • Ability to translate stories into a variety of multimedia formats including infographics, pictographs, lists, videos, animations, etc.
  • Strong communication and project management skills with an eye for creative design and compelling writing.
  • Ability to manage large, complex/multi-layer, quick-turn projects within the real time, fast-paced environment of digital and social communications.
  • Ability to work quickly and under pressure.
  • A positive, proactive team-oriented attitude, culturally sensitive and ideally familiar with the working environment of a large, international organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong analytical and oral communication skills.
