Join the V Team Life.The Employee Engagement team at Verizon is looking for a storyteller and content strategist to improve how we reach, engage and motivate our V Teamers. As a key member of the Global Communications function, you will serve as a communications partner for the teams responsible for making our industry-leading networks even better and elevating all tech and digital experiences.In this role, you will support all aspects of internal communications for the Verizon Global Services and Global Network & Technology organizations and promote stories from these teams across the company. This role will report into the Associate Director of Employee Engagement, and partner closely with the broader Employee Engagement team and other members of the Global Communications team. What you'll be doing:
- Drafting and executing communications for distribution to the Verizon Global Services and Global Network & Technology organizations.
- Accurately targeting employee audiences to ensure that communications are delivered effectively and in compliance.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of employee engagement initiatives and building strategies to continuously improve effectiveness.
- Identifying and promoting stories to help educate and inspire employees within Verizon Global Services and Global Network & Technology organizations.
- Interacting and working collaboratively with the broader Employee Engagement team, as well as team members in PR, marketing, sales, and operations teams.
- Identifying positive stories and storytellers, empowering employees to share their experiences and preparing executives to tell the Verizon story through powerful and persuasive messaging, research and data.
- Developing effective communications that clearly convey Verizon's mission, actions, values, culture and strategy to support key business priorities.
- Planning, producing and editing content for a variety of media including email announcements, presentations, events, leader messages, social media posts and videos.
- Proofreading and editing content, ensuring achievement of high editorial standards and alignment with our brand voice.
- Coordinating the distribution of communications through a variety of channels.
- Assisting in tracking and measuring the effectiveness of communications. You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or two or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Four or more years of experience in employee engagement and communications.
- Experience in managing CRM/mass email systems such as Poppulo.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Willingness to support multiple projects and clients and work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions.
- Extreme attention to detail; holds internal and external partners to the same high standards.
- Understanding of the complexities of working within a global organization and its impact on deliverables (e.g., global processes, languages, time zones, cultural differences, etc.).
- Willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities, pivot quickly, and respond with urgency.
- Computer-savvy with experience using Google Suite tools.
- Positive approach and commitment to collaboration with shared purpose.
- Strong copyediting and proofreading skills.
- Superb critical thinking skills and the willingness to take a concept from ideation and strategy to execution autonomously
- An excitement to grow at a fast-paced, Fortune 50 organization.
- Experience in public relations, marketing, and social media.
