Job Overview: The Employee Health RN/ LPN works directly to support the direction, coordination, and implementation of the Jordan Valley Employee Health program. This role promotes high quality patient care by implementing process improvement, operating procedures, related assessments, monitoring outcomes and updating related policies and procedures as appropriate. This role collaborates as an integral team member, collaborating with various departments to advocate for employee health, safety and wellness. This role also serves as a resource to Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) departments, including providing training regarding how to document or record data relevant to those measures and the analysis and interpretation of metrics data. The primary role of the employee health nurse is to provide preventative measures that ensure the health and safety of employees within the organization. Duties:
  • Provide clinical assistance as needed to the employee onboarding team to administer needed tests, vaccinations for onboarding and any follow up needs.
  • Training and collaboration with staff to offer clinical expertise to staff regarding procedures and processes to ensure proper use of PPE and body mechanics.
  • Assist and actively participate in vaccination clinics; may include organization of vaccination events for staff, community, and patients, administering vaccinations as needed and delegated by leadership.
  • Provide clinical assistance as needed to the employee onboarding team to administer needed tests, vaccinations for onboarding and any follow up needs.
  • Establishes, implements and supports Employee Health program standards including, program plans, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies.
  • Monitors/maintains and submits required routine documentation to applicable county, state, and federal regulatory agencies to remain in compliance. Some documented and infectious disease to submit including but not limited to influenza, COVID-19, tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases in collaboration with Infection Prevention, and Human Resources.
  • Develops, plans, and implements education and monitors nursing compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and clinic policy for patient services and environmental personnel safety.
  • 8Responsible for providing training and education to the nursing staff on various topics including but not limited to safety, wellness, infectious disease, exposure, and quality service applicable to our policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Participates in Quality initiatives, which monitor and evaluate critical aspects of care.
  • Ensures department protocols and processes are in adherence to AAAHC, OSHA, and various licensing and regulatory
  • requirements. Supports leadership in development and monitoring of protocols and processes.
  • Fosters a service which is consistent with the patient care beliefs and shares management philosophy of the organization and mission of the organization.
  • Responsible for effective communication horizontally and vertically within the organization.
  • Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
  • Attains all agreed goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the organization's overall mission.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  • Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate employee health goals and objectives throughout the organization.
  • Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
  • Participates in staff and management meetings as they relate to employee health, training, and infection prevention activities.
  • Ability to maintain records, in collaboration with Human Resources and Compliance, for employee health services that require retention requirements.
  • Maintains current license and knowledge of nursing care requirements
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
  • RN or LPN, with current MO license, required
  • Current BLS Certification required or obtained within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • 3 years of clinical experience.
