What are we looking for

As Employee Relations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself professionally in an international and dynamic environment. This position is primarily responsible for directly partnering with local Management to drive a consistent approach to the interpretation and application of Company Policies, rules, and practices while providing end-to-end compliance and approval support for corrective action and performance improvement processes.

What you will do

Acts as a liaison between and collaborates with managers and corporate departments on defined escalated matters to ensure compliance with company policies and established procedures.

Assist employees and management with the interpretation of Company policies and respond to inquiries and concerns.

Manage the hiring and onboarding process of new employees ensuring an excellent candidate experience.

Assist in communication of employee welfare plans such as retirement, life insurance, leaves of absence, disability benefits, and other associate safety, health, and wellness services.

Serve as point of contact and provide support, guidance, and direction to management and field operators on performance improvement and corrective action matters.

Escalate employee relations situations appropriately to ensure notification and consultation requirements.

Identify and recommend appropriate process improvements to accomplish effective performance management.

Conduct a prompt and thorough investigation of employee conflict of interest disclosures by Company standards; professionally document findings and recommendations for appropriate resolution for review by Senior Leadership while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with Federal and State employment laws.

Support administrative updates and follow up with management to ensure all systems and reports are up to date.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

What you need to succeed

Professional Experience

Required

2+ years of Human Resources experience in the US and Canada

3-5 years of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Employment Law experience preferred

Demonstrated experience coaching and supporting leaders and managers

Experience with HRIS tools

Knowledge

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Academical Background

Required

Bachelors degree in business Administration, Psychology or HR-related field preferred

Desired

PHR certification preferred
