JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIESIF YOU ARE AN EXISTING EMPLOYEE, PLEASE NAVIGATE TO THE INTERNAL JOB POSTING USING THIS LINK: Summary:This position clarifies company policies and procedures, investigates employee grievances and assists management in the proper interpretation and consistent application to ensure a fair and consistent resolution.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:Assists management in the proper interpretation and application of company policies and consistent application of discipline proceduresProvides guidance to departments to create and manage employee performance improvement plansInvestigates and documents employee complaints and grievances to ensure compliance and a fair resolutionAssists in training management on company policies and procedures in order to improve employee relations and management skillsFacilitates appeals processes to ensure the fair treatment of all Mohegan Sun employees (i.e. Administrative Requests, Boards of Reviews and Step 5 Appeals)Recommends reviews and processes employee discipline and terminationsManages specialized projects (i.e. unemployment claims, translations, licensing review, policy review and surveys)Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews and approves departmental re-bidsTrains employees to participate in the Board of Review ProcessMinimum Education and Qualifications:Associates' Degree in Human Resources or a related fieldMust have two years of Employee Relations or supervisory experienceWorking knowledge of employment laws and experience in resolving employee grievancesMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have proficiency in Word and ExcelIn lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, four years of Employee Relations or supervisory experience may be consideredCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptionsThorough understanding of company policiesRemains objective, exercises sound judgment and ensures confidentialityTraining Requirements:Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and proceduresMust complete the Core Supervisor Training courseMust complete the Core Business Training coursePhysical Demands and Work Environment:Office work environmentMust be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of timeMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
