Position Summary
The Employee Relations Manager will play a critical role in managing and resolving employee relations cases across the company's nationwide retail operations. This position requires a deep understanding of labor laws in the United States, exceptional analytical skills to handle ER cases, and the ability to provide guidance and support to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a wide range of employee relations cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies that promote a positive work environment and minimize legal risks.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on various HR issues, including but not limited to performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law and regulations across different states, and ensure company policies and practices comply with these laws.
- Conduct thorough investigations into complaints and allegations of workplace issues, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and business leaders to develop and deliver training programs related to employee relations, compliance, and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on case findings and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or relevant HR/legal certifications would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably 7-10 years of experience, with at least 3 years focused on managing Employee Relations cases.
- Proven experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and employment practices across the United States.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex ER cases effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
- This position requires onsite work 5 days a week at our West Covina office.
