JOB TITLE: Employee Wellness Coordinator

**Not a benefit eligible positionJOB SUMMARYThe Employee Wellness Coordinator will develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive wellness program for employees of Cody Regional Health. This position aims to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being, fostering a healthier and more productive work environment. The Wellness Coordinator will collaborate with various departments and external partners to design and deliver wellness initiatives and resources for Healthcare professionals who work at Cody Regional Health.
COMPENSATIONThe position is classified as 'Casual Relief' in regard to:
- Position is not benefit eligible.
- Position is not assured a regular schedule. Status is set at 20 hours/week.
- Rate of pay constant. Not eligible for regular annual increase.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as exercise science, kinesiology, health education, public health, wellness management, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of health and wellness topics including nutrition, fitness, stress management, and mental health.
EXPERIENCE- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices related to workplace wellness.
- Three or more years of experience in coordinating and implementing wellness programs preferred.
SKILLS- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate employees.
- Ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels with respect.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to plan and coordinate wellness programs and events.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations and workshops to large groups.
- Familiarity with wellness technology platforms and tools for tracking employee participation outcomes.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection and documentation.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of employee health information staying compliant with HIPAA.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, and Excel. PowerPoint also preferred.
- A passion for health and wellness, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS- Certification in wellness coaching, nutrition, fitness, or a related field preferred.
- Clean and current Driver's license.
- BLS (AHA)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Develop, coordinate, and implement a wholistic wellness program addressing physical, mental, emotional, and financial health.
- Coordinate, plan and facilitate health and fitness activities and programs for employees.
- Coordinate challenges, health screenings, workshops, and seminars on wellness topics.
- Develop promotion and publicity plans for wellness and fitness programs throughout the entire organization.
- Collaborate with HR department to assess employee needs and interests, and tailor wellness programs accordingly.
- Establish relationships with all internal departments to promote a culture of health and wellness.
- Develop a network of resources and contacts to strengthen programming and knowledge.
- Conduct assessments, employee surveys and focus groups to aid in program development and sustain interest in wellness.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs through data collection and analysis. Compile statistical summaries of participant data, class attendance and equipment inventories to ensure proper detailed program evaluation.
- Prepare regular reports on program participation, outcomes, and impact.
- Use data to make informed decisions and improvements to the program.
- Partner with external health and wellness providers and experts to offer programs and services, such as fitness classes, mental health support, and nutrition counseling.
- Work with the Benefits Coordinator to integrate wellness initiatives into existing employee benefits programs.
- Provide educational presentations and training programs.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS- Assist Human Resources Officer and Foundation in the development of budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness program.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in workplace wellness, and propose innovative ideas to enhance the wellness program.
