The organization offers a variety of programs and approaches to provide thousands of New Yorkers with health and wellness support, education, personal enrichment, skill-building, and cultural experiences.Position Summary The Workforce Services Division at Greenwich House is seeking an Employer Engagement Specialist to support job seekers utilizing employment services at the Lifelong Skills and Opportunity Center in Greenwich Village. The center serves as a valuable resource for Greenwich House's priority communities, including older adults, migrants, individuals with prior criminal justice involvement, and adults recovering from substance use and mental health disorders. The Employer Engagement Specialist will establish partnerships with businesses and nonprofit organizations, building excitement around the benefits of hiring our talented and determined community members. Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies to identify the best-fit workplaces for our priority populations.
  • Close deals with partners, establishing deliverables for hiring our clients.
  • Collaborate with case management team to ensure clients meet employer partner needs and hiring criteria.
  • Report regularly to the team about progress and completion of goals.
  • Create and implement a communications and marketing strategy to attract new businesses and organizations to the Lifelong Learning and Opportunity Center.
  • Maintain data reports and track metrics to support overall job placement outcomes.
  • Host information sessions for potential hiring partners and hiring events to match clients with employers.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, representing and promoting the work to various audiences.
  • Conduct regular outreach to partners, including mailings, cold calls, emails, and visits, with special attention to newly established partners.
  • Present partnership-building data to internal and external stakeholders as requested.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a job developer for a non-profit organization or related role with relevant experience
  • Adept at creating marketing materials such as virtual presentations, flyers, web content, and social media posts
  • Proven track record of establishing new employer partnerships for a similar organization, with familiarity working with unique priority populations
  • Demonstrated talent in audience engagement, facilitation, face-to-face marketing, and telephone marketing
  • Passion for delivering quality services to communities in need
  • Strengths-based approach to serving communities with barriers to employment
