Job Description:

The Event Coordinator is responsible for booking, coordinating, overseeing, decorating and other tasks as needed for Coltivare's banquet and event spaces. In addition, responding to all inquiries that are made to Coltivare for reserving and showing the banquet and event space. Assists with menu development, invoicing, collection of payment and to ensure that every event has a Banquet Event Order (BEO) for it describing, in detail, regarding all aspects of each event booked. The Coordinator may also assist in the restaurant operation as needed for major events and special event weekends and holidays. Acts as an ambassador of Coltivare and being knowledgeable about Culinary Arts, Hospitality, and Wine Marketing academic programs and acts proactively to cross-market these programs to all guests. Responsible for upholding Coltivare's mission statement, and all of Coltivare's service standards. The work is performed in accordance with policies and objectives outlined by the Director of Operations with wide leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in applying policy to specific cases. The Coordinator is expected to assist the management team as needed with any other responsibilities that will enhance the experience of our guests, as well as any other duties assigned by Coltivare's Director of Operations.

* Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree and three years of catering and/or catering sales experience.

* Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year catering events and/or catering sales experience preferred.

* Salary Range

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour.

* Special Notes

May be required to work evening and weekends.

Kitchen Expeditor

Job Description:

The Expeditor's responsibility is to help keep a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables. Working in a fast-paced environment to get proper orders out faster and more efficiently. The kitchen expeditor must have excellent communication skills and experience in a bustling restaurant setting. The expeditor will make service faster and better to help enhance our quality and reputation. Responsible for upholding all of Coltivare's service standards and assisting the Management Team in meeting the educational mission of the TC3 Culinary Center at Coltivare and the College.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of experience in a similar capacity. You must have enough stamina to be in constant motion and skills to coordinate and organize processes and people.

Position Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel food and equipment; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, reach, stoop, bend, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The Expeditor must be able to remain in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).

Hiring Salary Range:

$15.00 per hour plus percentage of gratuity.
