Description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Employment Specialist for Individuals with Disabilities to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for empowering individuals with disabilities by providing them with the skills, opportunities, and support necessary to achieve sustainable employment in an energetic team setting. Responsibilities

Client Assessment & Support:
  • Meet amazing individuals with disabilities and establish a positive relationship with them, families, employers, community organizations, referral source agencies, and colleagues.

  • Conduct individual assessments to understand clients' skills, experiences, and career goals.

  • Develop personalized career plans and set achievable employment goals.

  • Teach individuals with disabilities how to use job search strategies, create resumes, prepare for interviews, and network.

  • Teach individuals with disabilities work related behaviors that positively impact their potential/ continued employment.

  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching for individuals with disabilities.

  • Coordinate ongoing support and follow-up to ensure job retention and satisfaction.

Employment Development

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with local employers to create job opportunities for clients.

  • Understand employer needs and match them with suitable candidates.

  • Negotiate job placements and ensure compliance with employment agreements.

???????Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and employment outcomes.

  • Prepare regular reports on job placements and program effectiveness.

  • Demonstrates the ability to engage with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders through clear and concise verbal and written communication

Required Education / Experience

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in human services or related field. High School Diploma may be accepted with direct experience.
  • Two years experience in rehabilitation/providing services to persons with disabilities required. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be eligible.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with individuals with disabilities and employers.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Must have valid NC Drivers License and clean driving record adhering to Agency standards.
  • This position requires the use of your personal vehicle on a routine basis. (CWS reimburses for mileage)
  • Must pass the NC background check (criminal and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 10 - 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to handle sitting and standing for extended periods of time

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour
