Elwyn provides behavioral health services to improve the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness and addictions, serving over 7,000 individuals across 6 states. Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Employment Specialist to support our Delaware ACT program. The Employment Specialist assists consumers to find and keep competitive employment by developing community-based, competitive jobs and assisting with the placement, training, and retention of persons served in those jobs. The Employment Specialist assists consumers to attain improved financial literacy and to manage public benefits. S/he assists each consumer to develop a personalized strategic plan for employment that helps him/her to advance to improve financial stability and self-sufficiency. Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitative Counseling, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience working as a Case Manager supporting individuals with SPMI or other mental health conditions.
- At least one year's experience providing employment services (i.e. job development, job coaching, supported employment) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
