Key Responsibilities:
  • Treat all clients, referral sources, stakeholders, and team members with dignity and respect.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, CARF, and contractual standards during service provision.
  • Maintain flexibility in work availability, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
  • Compile and review vocational, medical, psychological, and educational information to assist clients with individualized career planning, job development, and retention services.
  • Schedule and participate in team/planning meetings to discuss individual clients and their employment goals.
  • Conduct orientation for clients to explain services and discuss their rights and responsibilities.
  • Assist clients with individualized career planning through interviews, community-based activities, and vocational counseling.
  • Provide individualized benefits planning at the onset of services and during transitions in work hours or pay.
  • Teach and reinforce job seeking and job retention skills with clients.
  • Create employer relationships and provide employer services for competitive, integrated employment opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients with employers and other stakeholders (family, schools, social service agencies).
  • Educate employers about the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and facilitate job accommodations.
  • Promote the organization, services, and clients in a professional manner and participate in community events.
  • Maintain frequent contact with referral sources regarding shared clients and potential referrals.
  • Report job development outcomes and other relevant information to the supervisor regularly.
  • Respond to crises that may occur with clients at their worksite.
  • Travel extensively to conduct job development supports, including client transportation.
  • Provide on-site or off-site job supports for clients as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in an applicable field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience providing employment services.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Good understanding of supporting individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment and education.
  • Knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods related to mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
  • Ability to evaluate services and provide input effectively.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for producing clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Internet platforms.
Supervisory Requirements:NoneEmployment Requirements:
  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation.
  • Accomplishment of all training requirements, including Relias Learning.
  • Current driver's license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance.
  • Evidence of being free from infectious and contagious diseases prior to starting employment and annually thereafter.
