- Plan, organize and promote services for CEMS.
- Serve as liaison between the ambulance service E911 board, EMA, city and county officials, volunteer fire depts., various non-profit agencies, and hospital.
- Demonstrate CRMC leadership standards and mentor department supervisors.
- Monitor monthly operation reports, productivity and develop performance improvements.
- Develop and monitor annual department budget.
- Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to promote timely delivery of care and coordination of services across continuum.
- Work with the medical director to develop protocols and training to continually improve the capabilities of CEMS
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
QualificationsEducation:
- Associate's degree in EMS required; BS is preferred
Certifications/ Abilities:
- Maintain and hold an Alabama Critical Care Paramedic License Preferred
- Maintain and be proficient in ACLS, PALS, BLS, PHTLS, EVOC/EVD, Pre-hospital Critical Care Medicine.
- Pass MEDPat (Medic Physical Ability Test) annually.
- ICS - 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
- Background in Emergency Management Training in healthcare preferred
Experience:
- 5 years as a paramedic in a busy 911 response area
- 2 years of EMS supervisor or EMS Director experience preferred
