End User Support Specialist

OPEX Corporation is currently looking to hire a full-time End User Support Specialist position in our Plano, TX office. We are looking for a worker who can commit to a full-time schedule during our day shift that runs from 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am 5:30pm. If you are a diligent, punctual and detail oriented individual then OPEX may be the right place for you to pursue your career.

We are looking for an End User Support Specialist who will maintain and repair computers, tablets, printers and other related Information Technology (IT) equipment. Will install, add and change software. The ideal candidate will be experienced with computer systems and be able to work diligently and accurately and possess problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain computers with custom software and drivers for both local and remote users. Ship to remote users.
  • Diagnosing and repairing computers/tablets based on interaction with the user
  • Set up and maintain Audio Visual / Videoconferencing operations
  • Maintain other related IT equipment (e.g. printers, UPS)
  • Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers and core software such as Microsoft Office applications correctly
  • Be the front facing person who will represent IT in Plano
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications2-5 years experience performing break/fix and IMAC (install/move/add/change) in a corporate Windows OS / Active Directory environment

  • Associates degree in Computer Science desired
  • Experience using any ticketing system
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and independently
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain details to all levels of users
  • Strong Office 365 troubleshooting skills
  • CompTIA A+ required
  • CompTIA Network+ desired
  • Microsoft certification desired
  • Experience pulling and terminating ethernet cabling a plus

Physical/Work Environments

  • Worker will be working in both office and warehouse environments
  • Worker will work mainly at a desk station repairing and delivering computers
  • Worker must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, reaching forward will occur while on the job
