Job Summary The Endoscopy Processing Technician is responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopic equipment. The Endoscopy Technician maintains the supplies and equipment needed for the endoscopy area. Performs duties within OSHA, Joint Commission, AORN, SGNA guidelines and department policies and procedures. Equipment SkillsDemonstrates essential skills to use all equipment connected to job responsibilities to provide clinical excellence one patient at a time. PlanningAllocates appropriate instruments and supplies for each case to provide extraordinary patient care and clinical excellence one patient at a time. SafetyUnderstands every safety practice expected by Mon Health. The individual must engage in practices that decrease the risk of accidents, injuries or equipment failures.Technical SkillsPossesses the technical skills and knowledge required to perform essential tasks in an efficient and effective manner to provide clinical excellence one patient at a time. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Medium Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs with a maximum lifting of 50 lbs.Experience in a sterile processing area, operating room or endoscopic unit preferred. Must possess excellent organizational skills. Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with surgeons, coworkers and administrative personnel.
