Week-end Every Two MonthsLocation - Inova Fair Oaks HospitalJob Responsibilities- Inclusive of the duties and responsibilities of Endo Tech 1 and 2.- Documents evidence of at least 12 hours of self-development activities.- Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate preventative and corrective actions.- Demonstrates superior knowledge in stressful and emergency situations.- Assists with the flow of daily operations by readily accepting assignments/reassignments.- Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities within the department.- Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot specialty equipment.- Provides superior knowledge of basic and all advanced endoscopy procedures, devices and equipment.- Primary preceptor for new & experienced staff.- Presents and organizes educational sessions within the Endoscopy department.- Supports and participates in departmental goals, educational programs and quality projects to improve outcomes.- May perform additional duties as assigned.- Additional RequirementsCertification - Basic Life Support upon start from AHA- Experience - 2 years as an Endoscopy Technician- Education - High School or equivalent; Associates Degree; The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates - Advanced Associates Program Completion
