What this job involves - JLL is currently seeking an Energy Analyst to join the Energy and Sustainability Operations (SO) team. This role is based in the Cincinnati metro area but could be done remotely within the same time zone. Your day to day: Working under the general supervision of a Regional Manager and Portfolio Energy Manager, the Energy & Sustainability Analyst is generally responsible for clients' utility cost management, tracking energy savings, and analyzing and reporting the portfolio's energy consumption and costs. Responsibilities: Utility Account Management - manage client utility accounts and develop utility data analytics by working with facilities, finance, accounting, legal, etc. Reporting - generate site and portfolio reports from data management systems regarding energy consumption and projected consumption based on conservation opportunities. Energy Analysis - review and compute a facility's end use analysis; calculate projected energy savings; analyze properties within the portfolio for trends and anomalies in energy consumption. Sustainability Analysis - analyze trash, recycling and water trends to calculate costs and savings. Process Improvement - investigate and recommend process improvement solutions that will make the utilities management process more robust, error-free and streamlined. Resolve utility account issues by working with utility companies, bill processing firms, and the client. Maintain completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting. Contribute to LEED certification projects, provide supporting documentation and report on energy and sustainability performance. Focus on credits related to Energy & Atmosphere and building commissioning. Teamwork - actively communicate progress and issues to the portfolio program manager, the facilities management team and the client. Participate on Energy Team process improvement projects and respond to client or JLL requests. Business analytics, special projects and other functions as required by manager or client. Support client sustainability reporting needs. Manage account global Sustainability program Support the Portfolio Energy Manager with interfacing with site FM teams to drive energy and sustainability projects. Sound like you? To apply you need: BA/BS in math, finance, engineering, IT or similar analytical discipline. 1+ years of related work experience with knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability concepts and LEED frameworks. Utility bill analysis experience a plus. Proficient in using MS Excel, Access and SQL to combine and analyze data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics. Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting. Experience with Energy Star Portfolio Manager or similar tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and project management skills and with consistent follow-through. Detail focused with a track record of consistent accuracy in reporting and data management. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work across multiple departments and units within an organization. SAP and/or Coupa experience a plus.
