Position: Systems Analyst Lead – Energy Management Systems (EMS)
Location: Taylor, TX
Contract: 12 months (contract-to-hire)

Are you passionate about leveraging your expertise in Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) to drive technical excellence in utility and grid operations? We're seeking a dedicated Systems Analyst Lead to join our team, focusing on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing EMS systems in a dynamic and mission-critical environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in system administration, preferably within the utility or energy industry. Strong background in installing and troubleshooting EMS/SCADA applications.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with:
- EMS and SCADA systems.
- Market Management Systems (MMS), with a preference for GE EMS Suite or comparable platforms (e.g., Hitachi/ABB, Siemens, OSI).
- Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or SQL DB.
- Inter Control-Center Communication Protocol (ICCP).
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Preferred Skills: Linux proficiency and a history of working with large-scale integration and database environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain EMS systems, ensuring uptime, reliability, and peak performance.
- Perform integration, structured/unstructured testing, and regular maintenance of EMS applications.
- Collaborate with vendors, project teams, and technical leads to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Monitor, update, and upgrade databases within EMS environments.
- Lead the coordination of code builds, patch implementations, and migrations.
- Develop technical documentation and support end-user administration of EMS functionalities.
- Participate in emergency recovery, disaster recovery drills, and system setup with market participants.
