Job Description:
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.- Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (for example, customers, suppliers, associates).- Manage financial aspects as assigned and/or in area of responsibility by monitoring and tracking expenses and capital expenditures compared to budget.- Monitor asset utilization; prepare, review, and analyze refrigeration reports.- Manage energy center maintenance department daily operations by diagnosing problems, developing repair alternatives, and acting to repair electrical systems, electronics, and other areas of the facility related to refrigeration system assets.- Monitor and ensure department performance related to maintaining refrigeration equipment (for example, electronic controls system, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, general building equipment repairs associated with the refrigeration system.)- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (for example, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Hazardous Waste, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Storm Water, Department of Transportation (DOT)) relating to energy center maintenance operations.- Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards and procedures; monitoring associate compliance to policies and procedures; distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.- Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties and coordinating workloads, monitoring performance and providing feedback.- Teaching, supporting and modeling Logistics and company policies and procedures; identifying training and development needs.- Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.- Drive quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring equipment, tools and supplies used by associates are in proper working order and readily available at the start of each work shift.- Investigate asset related incidents (for example, damage, physical accidents, theft).- Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing and/or analyzing refrigeration reports.- Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns by listening; consulting with others when needed to determine corrective action to take.- Make recommendations in order to resolve concerns.- Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties and coordinating workloads in order to achieve facility goals (for example, production, quality, safety).The shift is, predominantly, Monday -Friday days. But there will be times where you may have to work a night or weekend for a special project (not often). Also, this is a hands-on leadership role. Must be willing to lead a small team, but also still work with your hands, utilizing your technical expertise.Base salary will likely be about $70k, depending on rank and years of experience. Bonus target is 16%, max bonus is 20%. Total comp in $85- $90k range. Great relocation available as well.
