Role Overview

The Energy Markets Analyst will play a vital role in providing market analysis & insights to support our client's team & its clients. They will help members make informed energy procurement decisions by tracking market trends, assessing their impact, & delivering tailored guidance for both experts & novices. The Analyst will ensure members have the tools to manage risk & develop effective energy strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as an energy market expert
• Specialize in procurement, retail energy contracts, pricing, & local energy market operations
• Provide regular energy market updates for teams
• Collaborate to share insights with members
• Keep teammates informed of market developments through weekly updates
• Support members in making informed energy decisions
• Provide analyses, pricing strategies & presentations

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Relevant experience, preferably related to energy markets
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to clearly explain & distill complex information
• Highly self-driven
• Ability to work independently & collaborate with a team
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to leverage market data to support programs
• Negotiation experience
