Job Description:

About the Company: Responsible for operations and maintenance of REDs distributed condensate return systems within Eastman Business Park.

About the Role: This would include, but is not limited to regularly visiting/monitoring all condensate return systems, making minor repairs, communicating with customers/plant personnel, and documenting more involved repairs on work orders for remediation by the Maintenance team. Enforce customers contractual condensate return obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine condensate equipment inspections and performance including documentation of operational data, checking, and adjusting of controls on equipment as necessary.
  • Oversee the proper operation of the condensate return systems in both customer buildings and RED plants.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and expeditiously remedy operational issues to maximize equipment uptime and improve overall condensate return system performance.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of REDs Utility Service Agreement as it relates to our customers obligations concerning Condensate Return and obligations; work with Customers and REDs leadership to enforce compliance with those obligations.
  • Perform minor electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation repairs.
  • Conduct sampling and testing of condensate in customer and RED condensate systems.
  • Provide operating support for equipment shutdowns and startups including the securing of equipment using standard LO/TO procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment in a clean and operable condition.
  • Assist with the development and updates of standard operating procedures.
  • Provide operating support for overhead distribution piping systems.
  • Other duties as assigned such administrative, proper record keeping, inspections, etc.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED, minimum 4 years of experience in steam plant operations/maintenance, knowledge of steam distribution and condensate return systems.
  • Demonstrated conceptual and practical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent and clear communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical system aptitude and abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprint or CAD-based system drawings.
  • Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, and safety/environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to learn various industrial software applications (Maximo, Compliant Pro, TagsPro, Ovation, and Pi Historian software), becoming proficient with its use within a short time after being hired (~3 4 months).

Work Environment:

  • Work may be under extreme weather conditions including hot and cold ambient temperatures.
  • Employees will be required to travel between various buildings and work in plant environments where there are moderate noise levels. Employees would be expected to wear appropriate safety gear for each location.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing duties of the job, the incumbent is occasionally required to bend, walk, or carry equipment. Employees must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and willingness to use a company or personal car to travel about Eastman Business Park which covers approximately 5 square miles.
