Overview:
Energy Rental Coordinator I position serves as a coordinator for the Rental Energy Division. This position handles transactions for customers over the phone and in person and is direct support for the sales team. The Rental Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing machine utilization.

Responsibilities:
- Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.

- Supports and builds strong relationships with co-workers to include: Outside Sales Team, Service Technicians and Product Support Staff.
- Builds strong relationships with customers focusing on long term mutual growth and being a dependable partner.
- Rental Coordinator is expected to be on call to assist customers 24/7 365 days unless on vacation.
- Rent equipment or arrange for provision of service to customer.
- Perform administrative duties to include: Contract invoicing, purchase orders, and reports.
- Prepare rental forms and contracts; obtain customer signature and other information as required.
- Compute charges based on rental or service rate.
- Schedules and communicates with technicians to complete projects and prepare/turn rental equipment.
- Schedules hauling for all rental projects. Ships and receives all rental inventory.
- Orders allied parts/services as needed for rental technicians.
- Explain rental fees and provide information about rented items, such as basic operation or description.
- Collect deposit or payment or record credit charges as required.
- Receives/responds to incoming calls/emails from customers in a timely manner with a sense of urgency.
- Perform bi-weekly physical inventory.
- Act as a resource of information to customers concerning related equipment and services available in the local market area.
- Ask questions about delivery conditions such as dock heights, narrow streets, etc.; notify customers immediately if there are any delivery delays.
- Achieve rental operational goals including: invoice accuracy, CRM Goals, direct expense management and complete assigned training.
- Reserve items for rental projects.
- Resolve customer problems and invoicing problems.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
- Willing to entertain customers and attend events outside of normal business hours as needed for networking and training.
- Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations, as well as store security and report safety violations to supervisor.
- Attend department, store and safety meetings.
- Additional responsibilities and functions may be needed to meet customer and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College Degree preferred.
- Previous rental experience Demonstrated knowledge coupled with relevant work experience will be considered.
- The Energy Rental Team responds to emergencies and natural disasters. Ability to work after-hours/weekends is required
- Positive, solutions-oriented mindset coupled with strong time management and organizational.
- Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees, management and customers in a positive, professional and effective way.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar industry, equipment, basic mechanics, and the local market.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Ability to use in-house computer systems with training.
- Must understand and be able to effectively communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
- Strong creativity and problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of usage and application of all rental equipment and services.
- Must have working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise.
- Must possess sales and customer relation Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to the success of this position.

Working Conditions
- The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside but will also require some work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Position requires employee to be physically present on job site.
- Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
