The Office of Labor Policy & Standards (OLPS) enforces the Citys worker protection laws, including the Paid Safe and Sick Leave Law, Fair Workweek scheduling laws that protect fast food and retail workers, and Delivery Worker Laws that protect app-based restaurant delivery workers. In OLPS large, citywide enforcement actions, teams of attorneys, data scientists, and investigators work together to obtain compensation owed to workers and improve employer compliance. Other programs include the Freelance Isnt Free Act (FIFA) program, which assists freelance workers who have experienced wage theft and other violations, and our Paid Care Division, which focuses on workplace issues specific to nannies, housecleaners, home health aides, and other paid care workers. OLPS is seeking an Enforcement Support Associate with experience performing administrative and clerical work in a legal or government setting. The Enforcement Support Associate will primarily support to the FIFA program and will also provide general administrative support to other OLPS operations. The candidate will be responsible for:

- Printing and mailing documents to meet deadlines in law.

- Handling and distributing mail.

- Performing data entry in agency case management databases and handling assignments to organize and correct data.

- Performing clerical and related administrative work as assigned.

- Following agency policies and procedures to receive, scan, file and organize division documents and records.

- Assisting attorneys, investigators, and court navigators with clerical tasks related to their cases.

- Assisting with employee onboarding tasks, such as preparing workspaces.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.

Skills Requirement

Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
