+ Provide operational support, maintaining and modifications to Grid Control application that supports SCE's management of the Electrical Grid.
+ Perform software development and maintenance support for the Grid Control application as they relate to the operation and control of the Electrical Grid.
+ Engage in activities involving clients, IT teams, and vendors in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our systems (including after-hours tier 2 support) and critical project efforts.
+ Develop and maintain project documents such as functional specifications, software / system specifications, high- and low-level designs.

**Responsibilities**
+ Performs inspections and evaluations of existing conditions for various electrical equipment and systems for proper installation, problem identification/ trouble shooting, and overall improvements
+ Ensures system event assessments and RCA are performed for equipment failures and implements corrective actions, confirming proper mitigation plans are in place
+ Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and design plans related to projects and analysis of increasing scope and complexity
+ Conducts independent engineering work, receiving guidance on the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
+ Performs power system modeling and analyses utilizing software tools and applications; stays informed of technology advancements, market trends, and relevant guidelines and standards related to energy technology
+ Ensures the performance of day to day preventive maintenance activities to maintain equipment and ensure continued operation according to required standards including
+ Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) quality and environmental and reliability standards
+ Helps ensure infrastructures supporting processes are validated/qualified throughout their life cycle
+ Develops the engineering facility design, including but not limited to electrical system design, such as sizing, creating one-line diagrams, and selecting equipment
+ Assists in the development of new technology and standards strategy and the implementation of strategies into business operations to improve power system funcionality and quality of service to customers
+ Act as project sponsors with some technical assistance when responding to technical questions requireing project modification to move projects through their lifecycle.
+ A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field.
+ Two or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
+ Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Two (2) or more years of experience in Information Technology or Electric Utility engineering.
+ Two (2) or more years of experience in developing and maintaining sophisticated programs using C++, C#, .NET technologies.
+ Experience in maintaining real time systems with relational database (Oracle, SQL).
+ Experience and technical knowledge of SCADA and control systems.
+ Experience resolving system technical issues.
+ Experience and solid understanding of Linux OS tools, including filesystem manipulation, subsystem configuration, and performance monitoring.
+ Experience and strong understanding of Cybersecurity standards and trust zones to implement a defense in depth application security.
+ Experience and good understanding of infrastructure and networking capabilities to design resilient systems.
**Additional Information**
+ This position's work mode is **hybrid.** The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.? Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.? Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

+ The primary work location for this position is Alhambra, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at Irvine, CA.
+ Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
+ This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
+ This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
+ Relocation does not apply to this position.
