Your Challenge- Perform hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and acoustic testing of the product to ensure quality units leave the facility
- Evaluate test data before submitting to ensure quality data is being collected and test requirements are met
- Evaluate test instrumentation and setup to ensure proper processes are met
- Communicate test findings and results to the engineering department and other departments as necessary
- Support control of calibrated instrumentation-calibrate as required
- Support assembly personnel as needed regarding test department functions
- Support 3rd party testing/requests
- Support test loop setups-both assembly and 3rd party loop swaps
- Coordinate special testing with the engineering department
- Interact with customers on-site and answer questions regarding the testing process and the instrumentation used
- Assemble basic, small diameter, pipe fittings to support test instrumentation setups
- Research and recommend new/upgraded test equipment
- Research and recommend safety-based improvements
- Research and develop improvements to the work environment and process
- Follow processes and procedures
- Follow scheduled workloads as needed based on upcoming tests
- Attend meetings (safety, training, all-hands)
- Translates technical guidance into usable engineering data applicable to the particular assignment
- Engineering activities support both domestic and international products/services
- May work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers
- May assist with the analyses to develop design options or recommendations and may assists in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications on low level projects
What You Bring - Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge
- Understanding of pump hydraulics and mechanical principles
- Scheduling and Planning
- Familiarity with temperature, pressure, power and vibration measuring equipment
- Knowledge of instrumentation calibration
- Time management, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Problem solving skills
- Training and coaching skills
- Prior rotating machinery experience a plus
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to use basic tooling
- Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US DOD security clearance
