About the roleOverview The assembly manufacturing engineer is responsible for continuous improvement of the assembly lines. The engineer will develop, implement, monitor and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and workflow. The position will be responsible for evaluating existing assembly processes to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. The engineer will work closely with the new product development team to quote new products and specify automated equipment On a daily basis, the individual will be involved with troubleshooting manufacturing issues on the shop floor, designing new and improved tooling and fixtures and reviewing and updating assembly instructions and procedures. The individual will lead and/or participate in continuous improvement projects and work with a diverse highly skilled team including design engineers, quality, maintenance and production.Compensation: $72,000-$95,000What you will be doingResponsibilities Develop and implement process improvements in low to high volume assembly environment Design assembly fixtures with 3D CAD system Propose and implement fixture design improvements Assist in introduction of new products including design and process reviews Specify, justify, and develop manufacturing equipment for new or existing products Participation in improvement activities as part of multi-disciplined team Support manufacturing assembly lines to achieve quality, delivery and cost requirements Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow and equipment layout Root cause analysis to identify counter measures to customer concerns Create and maintain routings and bill of material documentation Collaborate in creating, reviewing, and changing product related documents for productionAbout youQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering Advanced degree in Engineering a plus Demonstrated track record of successful project completion/implementation 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with shop floor experience Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing principles Strong verbal and written communication skills 3D CAD experience Experience with collaborative robots a plus Familiarity with PLC programming a plus Familiarity with SAP a plusHow will we reward you
