The Engineer III is responsible for performing engineering duties in planning, design and oversight of construction and maintenance of Quadvest water and sewer facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Recommending methods for the conveyance of water/sewer, to include the use of such facilities as distribution lines, force mains, pump stations, gravity sewers, and lift stations.
Coordinates implementation of assigned construction projects; monitoring progress, analyzing problems, recognizing solutions, and reviewing recommendations by Quadvest Operations and contractors.
Review development plans and specifications applications for compliance with applicable Quadvest standards and TCEQ regulations as well as local jurisdictions when applicable.
Perform and manage technical work on water and wastewater system modeling and planning studies: Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) planning, evaluating water system water quality, planning water and wastewater collection systems, analyzing historical demands/flows and preparing future demand/flow projections, Pumping and storage capacity analyses, financial analyses and projections.
Support marketing and business development activities related to water and wastewater system planning for new developments.
Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Work effectively with minimal supervision.
Create, edit and/or review technical and design reports for submittals to appropriate jurisdictions.
Coordinate with governmental entities regarding project submittals.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Environmental or another related discipline.
Prefer B.S. in Civil Engineering.
EIT or PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year.
At least 4-7 years of progressive engineering experience.
Knowledge of TCEQ rules and regulations associated with water and sewer utility facilities.
Prefer related experience in utility construction, utility engineering or plant/operations.
Experience in the development and administration of project, operating and capital budgets.
Prefer related experience in the planning and management of water/sewer lines and related infrastructure facilities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
Language/Math/Reasoning Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
