Our laboratory equipment products are used primarily by pharmaceutical companies for drug discovery and development and by biotechnology companies and universities for life science research to advance the prevention and cure of diseases and improve quality of life. Our offering consists of equipment, accessories, and services for sample preparation, storage and protection, and analysis.Discover Impactful Work:As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play an important role in providing technical support for special processes and assembly operations. You will have the chance to interact with a diverse range of colleagues, including hourly line workers, team leads, shift supervisors, quality engineers, R&D, maintenance, and site leadership. This collaborative environment will allow you to contribute to the detailed execution of manufacturing processes and the successful implementation of new product and process development.A Day in the Life: Establish and optimize manufacturing processes, methods, and procedures to assure product conformance, quality, and cost effectiveness.Resolve production issues and keep production running to support customer requirements until corrective actions can be implemented. Partner with Set-up, Maintenance, Quality, Operators, and other groups as needed to accomplish this.Uses fact-based analysis to identify gaps (NCRs, systemic problems, etc.) and develop corrective and preventive actions to address. Responsible for timely implementation of countermeasures.Identify and implement Continuous Improvement projects and/or general improvement projects, applying Lean methodologies and PPI tools.Coordinate and direct investigations in new processes, materials, and technologies, providing training for the operation as needed.Coordinate and complete the validation process for new processes and equipment.Provide technical assistance and expertise to manufacturing in problematic situations, implementing corrective action, and providing training as needed.Establish and maintain manufacturing specifications, i.e., BOM, routings, set up sheets and other related technical recommendations and documentation.Represent manufacturing engineering on New Product Development teams, ensuring new products that are brought to market are capable of being manufactured to accepted specifications.Prepares capital appropriation requests and owns administering the approved project capital.May coordinate and present manufacturing plans at design review meetings with R&D and Business leadership. Keys to Success:Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a focus on Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, is preferred. Equivalent experience in the field will also be considered.2+ years of proven experience is required. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of hands on, Engineering experience or related field is preferred (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)Experience in an ISO environment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Outstanding attention to detail and interpersonal skillsSelf-starter, independent and detailedAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.Effective time management and prioritization skillsCollaborate with individuals at all levels of the organizationStrong analytical skillsProven expertise in fostering continuous improvement and driving lean processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
