We are seeking and experienced Engineer to join our team in Dillon, South Carolina. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader who will spearhead technical operations and drive efficiency across our facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure optimal daily operations and maximum equipment/system uptime through the application of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Develop and implement plant technical strategies focusing on operations, safety, energy usage, engineering projects, and maintenance improvements.
- Embed a culture of safety in all operational aspects and achieve targeted results through the technical team.
- Lead and manage engineering and maintenance strategies to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring the facility's infrastructure-including electrical, mechanical, boiler, and refrigeration systems-meets operational demands.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Engineering to manage and adhere to plant technical expense budgets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and work with various agencies to maintain and exceed safety and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline is preferred. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience will be considered.
- At least 2 years of experience in plant or project engineering/management, ideally within the food industry.
- Proficiency in automation and a working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, including the ability to work with drawings and update designs when equipment is installed or relocated.
- Willingness to travel to vendors, attend training sessions, visit other plants, and participate in corporate meetings for technical strategy and capital planning.
