ITD has one opening for an Engineer Manager I for our District 5 Maintenance Engineer located in Pocatello, ID. These positions will plan, organize, and review maintenance staff, projects and engineering work; perform professional engineering and related administrative work involving the maintenance and operation of highways, and related activities; and perform related work. This position may involve some travel with overnight stays. This position may be rotated with the Design Construction Engineer or Materials Manager position. Example of Duties + Interviews and hires staff, assigns work, and evaluates performance + Conducts professional engineering work involving conventional practices, but may also involve a variety of complex features such as: conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult project coordination requirements Minimum Qualifications Licensure: + Licensed in Idaho as a Professional Engineer (PE); or be eligible for comity licensure by the Idaho Board of Professional Engineers in accordance with Idaho Code, Title 54, Chapter 12; + AND Valid driver's license. Good knowledge of state and local government operations pertaining to a specific engineering discipline. Level I knowledge of management practices.
