Job Overview The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that The Jonathan Beach Club is functioning at the highest level to enhance the member experience. The Engineering Manager maintains the buildings and grounds of the organization, directs staff and oversees the upkeep of equipment and supplies. Working with the Engineering Director, the Engineering Manager is responsible for maintaining day-to-day operations of the Club. The Engineering Manager will oversee repairs, and other maintenance needs while ensuring all work orders are completed in a timely fashion. This position is responsible for managing the engineering staff daily while assigning duties and ensuring work orders and projects are completed in a timely manner. Essential Duties - Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed. - Assign daily assignments to engineers and follow up to ensure duties are completed. - Responsible for supplies and inventory needed for the club with proper par stock while keeping the engineering office and areas of responsibility organized. - Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors. - Ensures compliance with applicable building and safety codes, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, hazardous materials, Health Department, etc. - Responsible for Audio/Visual equipment, inventory, and proper working condition. - Conduct weekly meetings to review opportunities in their respective areas so he and his team can be more proactive with (DOE to be present with Engineer Manager for the two first months of the transition process): •Director of Food & Beverage •Chef de Cuisine •Asst. Director of Athletics •Facility Manager •Beach & Parking Operation Manager - Responsible to monitor and complete work orders. - Supervising staff and scheduling routine maintenance tasks is required. - Experience with commercial building maintenance including plumbing, preventative maintenance tasks, and HVAC (HVAC Certification preferred). - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all departments. Must be able to speak with employees to provide clear instruction and work with management to make sure the job gets done. - Self-starter with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. - Working knowledge of workplace safety and illness and injury prevention practices. - Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions. - Responsible for sending out daily engineering reports as directed by management. - Additional duties may be assigned by management.
