Position Title: Engineer Networking and Systems Army On-The-Move (OTM)(SECRET CLEARANCE)
Position Summary: MILVETS is currently seeking a full-time Engineer specializing in Army On-The-Move (OTM) Networking and Systems. Must have active SECRET CLEARANCE. This role will be supporting the government at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing tactical and mobile networks for Army operations, with a specific emphasis on integrating communication systems developed by multiple Army Program Managers (PMs) under Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications and Network (PEO C3N).
Specific responsibilities include: - Assisting PdM CPI2 with designing architecture and interfaces for OTM systems and integrating them into the larger army network architecture.
- Understanding the PEO C3N portfolio and ground combat system platforms for future integration.
- Communicating effectively with platform engineers to gather information on available connections, power, and placement options and relaying gathered information back to PdM CPI2, focusing on non-platform specifics.
- Collaborating with platform engineers to explain how PdM CPI2 systems will integrate into those platforms, focusing on a strong understanding of network development rather than detailed interconnection diagrams.
- Leading the design and development of systems and technologies for On the Move platforms, working with minimal guidance to integrate radios, satellites, and other technologies as directed by the APM.
- Leading efforts to standardize and finalize the network to avoid building one-off systems.
Telework Eligible: Telework is possible in following PEO C3N contractual policy of minimum onsite days at APG, MD
