This full time position will support Navy commissioned submarines and their associated maintenance facilities. The candidate will function as a project engineer ensuring accomplishment of established program goals, to include cost control, strategic planning & scheduling, and execution of OHIO class and COLUMBIA class projects for Navy customers. The position will act with various Groton and offsite offices for budgeting, obtaining new work, estimating contract changes, procurement, etc. Work with the COLUMBIA program and its sustainment efforts will also be required. The individual selected for this position will also be responsible for:
- Supporting engineering questions that are presented by TRFKB or other tenant commands.
- Planning and coordinating Subject Matter Expert (SME) support.
- Supporting as liaison between TRFKB and SME's.
- Developing and outlining future growth activities for EB.
- Some physical work may be required.

This position requires relocation to TRIDENT Site in Kings Bay, GA.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelors of Science or higher, in Engineering.
- 5 + years of relevant experience in submarine construction, submarine maintenance or operations, and/or industrial project management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Familiarity with OHIO class submarines.
- A strong foundational understanding of engineering concepts, technical publications, military specifications, and ship specifications.
- Candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
- Willing to relocate to Kings Bay, GA or vicinity.
Preferred:
- General understanding of EBs design and engineering departments.
- Prior 5-10 years of experience related to submarine overhaul and repair is desirable. Experience as submarine CPO or above satisfies this requirement.
- Prior submarine or industrial project management experience desired.
- Candidate should be familiar with OHIO submarine maintenance and/or modernization and have a general understanding of the maintenance process.
- Demonstrated ability in multi-tasking and technical project management
- Basic planning and project management skills
- Prior experience in government contracting.
Skills- Candidates must be willing and physically able to climb steep stairs and ladders, ascend/descend scaffolding, and access confined spaces within a submarine
- The candidate must be willing to accept non-conflicting duties that may be assigned outside routine activities to level load personnel.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact and integrate with a wide range of personnel within EB and outside of the company (Must be confident in communicating and working with upper management Navy and civilian personnel.)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills. Candidate must be able to professionally represent Electric Boat when interacting with industry partners and the US Navy

- Candidate must be comfortable seeking and developing business opportunities to assist and advance the objectives of the Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay through the use of Electric Boat.
- Ideal candidate would be familiar with Electric Boat systems and software such as SPARS, Oracle, Document Databank and Lotus Notes or have a demonstrated capability and willingness to learn these programs quickly.
- The candidate must possess strong analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills.
- Understand submarine logistics products (i.e., eLARs, eDFSs, ShipAlts, etc), and special emphasis programs (SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, Fly-By-Wire).
