Job Title: Engineer (Tool Die Maker and Stamping)

Location: TMMK, 1001 Cherry Blossom Way Georgetown, KY

Remote/On-site/Hybrid: On-site from day 1

Working Hours: Standard

Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certifications: Some Certification in Tool and Die, Journeymen or other related to the job duties, some secondary vocational school

Overtime: Yes, 20% during weekdays, weekends, shutdown, holidays, and odd hours.

Travel: Yes, 60% (Domestic and International)

International Travel: To/from Canada and Mexico for meetings/observation, work on tools, going to various NAMC, level up and launching of tools.

Travel Requirement: As per business need; immediate travel is welcome.

Experience Level: Minimum 2 years

Shop Floor: Yes

PPE Required: Hard hat, steel toed shoes, cap, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, prescription glasses.

PPE Provided by Our Client: Hard hat, steel toed shoes, cap, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses.

Interview Process: 2 rounds

  • Interview 1: STAR/Video interview via MS Teams for 60 minutes (Panel interview)
  • Interview 2: In-person interview for 3-4 hours, will include hand skill test (Come on the shop floor, have block test)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support model launch at manufacturing plants through engineering activities for process setup, die trials, and documentation.
  • Conduct process confirmation (T1 activities, process sheet, and die design reviews).
  • Lead die tryout onsite and set countermeasure direction.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity confirmation of die and part.
  • Document activities and handover to manufacturing plant.
  • Utilize strong small tool hand skills and a minimum of 2 years Tool and Die experience.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with internal and external customers for countermeasure setting.
  • Travel to support team at other locations (domestic and international).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Tool and Die.
  • Positive attitude with a keen willingness to learn and think outside the box.
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong hand skills in assembling, welding, and modifying tools using hand grinders, sanders, etc.
  • Ability to perform productivity repairs on dies.
