Engineering Development Program

This position will participate in Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC's (HDMA) Engineering Development Program (EDP), which over the last 25 years, has been a critical program in the development of entry level engineers.
This is a one to two-year program where the participant will rotate through various departments/roles throughout HDMA. The purpose of this program is for incoming engineers to gain experience on the various facets that create HDMA's manufacturing and business operations. Successful graduates of HDMA's EDP will return to a Home department (role outlined below) with the ability to draw from their experiences and contacts made in various host departments and understand key factors that drive business activity.
This position reflects multiple openings in multiple locations. Locations include:
* Ohio: Anna, East Liberty, Marysville, Raymond and Russells Point
* Alabama: Lincoln
* Georgia: Tallapoosa
* Indiana: Greensburg
Manufacturing Engineering - Manufacturing Engineers lead, create and implement innovative technical activities and solutions in almost all areas of Manufacturing operations. Manufacturing Engineers monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function while minimizing operating expenses. (Available in Ohio, Indiana & Alabama)
Equipment/Tooling Design Engineering - Design Engineers are responsible for designing various manufacturing equipment (stamping, hardware & software, die & mold) to ensure the efficiency and stability of new models and new technology introduction in all HDMA North American Manufacturing facilities. (Available in Ohio)
Quality Engineering - Effectively interacts with Mfg. Depts, Support Depts, Suppliers and R&D to obtain consensus when finding root cause and suggesting countermeasures to gain a clear resolution to problems. In some areas, Quality Engineers will also perform car testing during new model trial stages to ensure the design intent is realized with actual vehicle performance. (Available in Ohio & Georgia)
Materials Development Engineer - The Materials Development Engineer within the Organics Group will focus on the research and development of resins, fabrics, and other non-metal materials. Seeking materials or chemical engineering majors. (Available in Ohio)
Safety Engineer - Apply your scientific and practical knowledge of the Safety compliance field in order to innovate, design, and improve systems, processes, equipment, and tools in their assigned areas to improve the Safety characteristics in alignment with daily operations, new model, business plan, and/or innovation to achieve or exceed targets and promote safety excellence. (Available in Ohio)
Data Analytics Engineer - review multiple data sources to evaluate, summarize and draw conclusions to identify trends that lead to countermeasure activity. Data Analytics Engineers will be expected to analyze data covering quality, delivery, safety, and cost information within manufacturing, design, and test environments. (Available in Ohio)

Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree from an ABET or ATMAE accredited program
* Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or other equivalent engineering degree
* 3 months co-op/internship experience in a relevant environment (preferred)
* Less than 2 years of engineering work experience
