Apply to join Freddie Mac's Core and Network Services team!We are seeking a technically skilled and experience Director of End User Network Services to lead, modernize and automate end user network services'. This is a dual role where the leader will be the service owner and the engineering leader. As the leader you will have direct responsibility for all network security services and its lifecycle. The role requires deep experience in product management and technical expertise in network security technologies with a strong product and engineering mindset.Our Impact:We provide end user network services within the campus network for wired and wireless connectivity across the firm.We have a direct impact on our end users by the services we provide as we provide the initial connectivity to get onto the network.We run and improve end user network platforms, collaborate with teams and leadership within IT and with business partners to advance our technical capabilities and provide network security solutions that drive business results.Your Impact:Directly manage a team of engineers while ensuring meeting the requirements of the product owner. Product Leadership:Build an End User Network services' product vision and be capable of blending the needs from enterprise wide technical & business groups into a product road mapLead the creation of network security services and the consumption of those services.Monitor and improve the delivery and operations of the services.Technical Leadership and Engineering Management:Lead, design and collaborate with architecture teams to align with end user network services architecture standards.Lead a team of engineers focused on delivering functional blueprints based on patterns approved by and collaborated with Infrastructure ArchitectsLead development of workflows and automate them.Manage deliverables to meeting expected deadlinesMentor Engineers to ensure engagement and advancement of the overall TeamBuild self-service capabilities for the portfolio of services.Develop best practices for engineering and deploying services. Create and maintain a process and automation library.Always start from a view of automating as much of the overall process as possible.On a continuous basis review task, increase efficiency, and mark tasks for automation/transfer to delivery team.Utilize and drive project milestones through Jira to ensure clear communication/expectations with leadership and stakeholder.Engineering-Driven Compliance & Best Practices:Ensure solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements – specifically NIST, while maintaining scalability to meet evolving business needsEngineer solutions with the understanding FM is a highly regulated firm which requires control validation by non-technical team members.Utilize a problem-solving approach to design solutions that not only address immediate risks but also future-proof network defenses against emerging threats.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with IT, Operations, End User Support, and software engineering teams to integrate end user technologies into every layer while keeping users experience as a key function of the solution.Work closely with senior leadership on the selection, design and delivery blueprint of new network security technologies and tools to address evolving threat landscapeQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT, Advanced degree preferredTechnical master's degree and/or an MBA is preferred.12-15+ years of overall experience5+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to end user network services' modernization is required5+ years of experience in any of Cloud and SaaS technologiesExperience working directly with engineers to define and plan new features for consumption.Familiarity with various end user network technologies, such as routing, switching, network management, network access control, voice, contact center, cellular repeaters, wide area networks, internet proxy and virtual private networks.Experience with Python and Ansible are a must.Experience in building self-service portals and managing a service catalog.Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirableDeep knowledge of various enterprise level Platforms widely used in the industryKeys to Success in this Role:Highly motivated and energetic self-starter with solid organizational and time management skills; demonstrable experience operating at high standards of quality and accuracy within a fast-paced changing environmentExcellent communication, leadership and relationship management skills, that enable partnering with and influencing key customers in an open, collaborative environment at all levels in an organizationTechnical leadership with knowledge of both legacy and modern cloud based distributed systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present sophisticated subject matter, specifically translating technology problems/solutions to business partnersCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $199,000 - $299,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
