What is the ideal candidate background including number of years' experience? ➢ 2-8 years of experience working in high-reliability manufacturing environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, biomedical industry) ➢ Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Systems engineering bachelor's degree from reputable universityAre there any certifications that the candidate must possess? ➢ NASA J-STD certification a plus, but not requiredWill any of the following be required for this position: overtime, travel, on call, weekends, off hours? Could you confirm the standard work hours? ➢ Standard schedule is 9/80 (9 hours per workday with every other Friday off) ➢ Potential for limited overtime and occasional work on “off Fridays” ➢ Not anticipating travel, but possible travel within Southern CaliforniaDesigns sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Please see managers comments:• Since this is a Manufacturing Engineering position, they should have a minimum of a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering. 2+ experience required**• They should have thorough mechanically / electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience (ideally in the Aerospace industry). Some of the resumes indicate that they have ME experience, but it is in food or chemical.
