The 3D scan technician will be the primary user of the 3D scanners in the lab. They will work with the engineer and analyst to create the required scans necessary to complete the analysis. They will need to be familiar with scanning principles, as well as CAD practices and metrology. The job will be very hands on, fast paced, and varied from day to day.

How You'll Create Possibilities

60% of the responsibilities will include:

* Complete metrology measurements including, but not limited to 3D scans & CMM programming as requested / required by engineers and analyst.

* Prep parts for scanning, including targeting and spray painting.

* Communicate and work closely with analysts to ensure timely completion of all necessary scans.

* Conduct demonstrations for engineers and project a helpful and knowledgeable presence in the lab.

* Support the development of new fixturing and measurement techniques.

40% of the job responsibilities will include:

* Definition of each scanning project, including scans needed and reports required.

* Obtaining required CAD data form engineer or CREO/Windchill needed to complete analysis.

* Support Coordination of all projects in the scan lab, including scheduling and report outs.

* Support the development of new measurement techniques.

* Support Gauge Calibration when assigned.

* Support ESD program as assigned.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associates degree with work experience in Metrology OR relative work experience of at least 2 years in a Metrology area.

* Experience in CAD and/or manipulation of 3D CAD data.

* Working knowledge of parametric and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing CAD disciplines.

* Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects to maximize output.

* Computer savvy, able to learn multiple software programs and effectively run them simultaneously.

* Excellent teamwork skills. Self-starter.

* Able to balance priorities in a potentially high stress environment.

* Ability to diagnose and communicate machine faults to service technicians and maintenance personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3D scanning experience

* Additional Metrology experience, including gage design, CMM programming, Six sigma data analysis

* Experience with CREO and Windchill

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
