We are looking for a/an Engineering Manager - Clean Water to join our FE_WIBU team in the United States . Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Overall ownership of projects and tasks assigned to the department
- Advisor/mentor to subordinate positions to meet schedules and resolve technical or operational problems
- Establish and/or improve internal department processes and procedures
- Enhance support documentation and tools to assist sales in replacing competitor products
- Design and oversee development of adaptor brackets and other peripheral products to support aftermarket opportunities
- Minimize turnaround time and error rate in the tendering and submittal process
- Maintain a customer (distributor) oriented support culture
- Establish a strong reputation in internal and external customer satisfaction
- Provide technical support to all sales & marketing channels, both internally and externally
- Manage multiples projects with specified timelines and deliverables
- Provide excellent proofreading, editing, and technical writing abilities
- Develop tools for sales channels and internal support of various ongoing and future initiatives (i.e., core municipal, aftermarket, sludge, etc.)
- Conduct research of product requirements in support of various ongoing and future initiatives
- Provide field services to customers to determine retrofit solutions
- Gain and leverage knowledge of competitor's products to simplify replacement opportunities for customers
- Maintain technical documentation of all products and accessories through streamlining and standardization within a structured data management plan (including sales literature, brochures, training materials, presentations, demonstrations, specifications, technical documentation, manuals, etc.)
- Interface with Global & Local Product Managers and North American Sales force on various product related matters to drive and provide local focus and support
- Provide review and commentary on documentation and drawings
- Conduct or provide detailed engineering reports and plans for product enhancements
- Design, model, and test (virtually and physically) prototypes of new products
- Reduce production costs through product re-design and continued development
- Support internal groups with custom documentation, drawings, and solutions
- Work independently to resolve issues with minimal direction as well as participation in a team environment
- Ensure the reputation and image of the company exceeds industry expectations
To succeed in this role, you will need: - Bachelor Science degree preferably in engineering. PE preferred.
- 5-10+ years management experience
- At least 5 years pump industry or municipal bid/equipment related experience
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and remain competently professional in high pressure situations
- Collaborative, innovative personality style with strong drive to improve the organizational talent and customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent planning skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Familiarity with pumping equipment is desirable
- Familiarity with distributors and manufacturers representatives is desirable
