Essential Duties for MEP Engineer:
- Design MEP systems ranging from simple to complex
- Coordinate with design team members in other disciplines
- Manage junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Attend client design review meetings for presentation to customers
- Write technical specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents, and reports
- Designing MEP systems - MEP Engineers design the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a building, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, power, water supply, and drainage.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations - MEP Engineers must be familiar with local building codes and regulations to ensure that the design and installation of MEP systems comply with them.
- Collaborating with architects and contractors - MEP Engineers work closely with architects and contractors to ensure that the design and installation of MEP systems meet the needs of the building and its occupants.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues - MEP Engineers are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with MEP systems, ensuring that they function correctly and efficiently.
- Promote JET industries to outside clients, and build and maintain relationships.
Requirements for MEP Engineer:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as an independent designer/engineer
- Must have a PE License
- Good communicator and team player
- Ability to both lead and follow Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized
- Design-build experience is a plus
- Needs to be able to manage others
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Engineering or related field
