Must Have:

- 5+ years of experience in structural or civil design and project management.
- Proficiency in design and analysis software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000, etc.).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
- Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AISC, ACI, ASCE).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one (preferred).
- PMP or other project management certification (preferred but not required).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural/Civil Engineer with expertise in project management and design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural or civil engineering and a proven ability to manage projects from initial concept through execution while ensuring structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural/Civil Design:
- Design, analyze, and optimize structural systems, including buildings, bridges, roads, foundations, and other infrastructure projects using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, etc.).
- Develop and review detailed structural engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Perform structural calculations and simulations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet project objectives and client requirements.
- Research and apply relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., AISC, ASCE, ACI, Eurocodes).
Project Management:
- Lead and manage civil or structural engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation plans to overcome project challenges.
- Prepare and present project status updates to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols are followed during design, construction, and final inspection phases.
Construction Support & Inspection:
- Oversee the construction phase of projects, providing technical guidance to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with structural specifications and safety standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during construction.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in post-project evaluations and contribute to process improvements in design, construction methods, and project delivery.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and technologies in the structural/civil engineering field.
Compensation:
$80/hr to $85/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
