Job Duties
* Responsible for all aspects of project management and coordination for project assigned.
* Develop and implement detailed project plans, scheduling, monitoring progress against the plan(s), and reporting project status to upper management.
* Coordinate and direct the activities of the appropriate functional areas and vendors participating in the projects.
* Supervises activities of general external contractors and asset preservation staff on projects.
* Oversees day to day upkeep of buildings and grounds maintenance on a defined shift.
* Assists with selection, training, coaching and scheduling Engineering staff.
* Assigns and schedules work to department employees and follows up on assignments accordingly.
* Oversees inventory control practices and procedures, and monitors the effectiveness of cost saving methods of maintaining par levels of equipment and supplies for department operation. Ensures that shop areas are neatly organized, clean and safe.
* Ensures that Engineering staff is following company safety programs.
* Interacts with management across department lines to ensure that maintenance and customer service standards are being provided.
* Must be able to troubleshoot and correct maintenance and/or repair issues throughout the property in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensures direct reports follow Family Style Service.
* May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
* Must have two years prior experience in the building trades as well as experience supervising maintenance trades' employees.
* Must be self motivated and able to work independently on the assigned shift.
* Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting and organization skills.
* Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
* Required to perform the customer service standards of the department.
* Regular attendance for scheduled work required.
* Knowledgeable of the Casino Control Act and Attendant Regulations, as well as company internal controls, policies and procedures.
