Summary

The Engineering Tech III in the Test Lab plays a critical part in assuring CNH is developing and releasing the highest quality Precision Agriculture products possible. This role involves working with Design and Test Engineers to develop test plans, execute and monitor tests, and interpret and document results.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Write test plans, conduct tests, and document results as required by engineering or design teams.
  • Participate in the development of test plans.
  • Assist engineering and coordinate with internal teams on a variety of products and processes, including engineering specifications, drawings, models, manuals, processes, or bill of materials.
  • Research, investigate, and select technical data pertinent to the assigned project.
  • Support the development and maintenance of testing processes, methods and practices.
  • Work with internal teams and external sources to obtain and communicate data relative to engineering requirements.
  • May be involved in the bid process.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.
  • Develop and maintain operational and technical knowledge of the company's product line.
  • Provide input on product improvement opportunities.
  • Lead assigned projects, with limited engineering assistance from the concept stage through production and make modifications, as necessary
  • Lead or participate in department improvement activities
  • Responsible for defining technical approaches and tasks related to activities and projects.
  • Assist with larger scale projects or issues, such as cost analysis.
  • Innovative in nature, and contributes to new product ideas.
Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in field related to specific position.
  • 5+ years experience in a related position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical test procedures and use of test equipment.
  • Knowledge of HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) procedures is preferred.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Capable of defining appropriate approaches and solutions. Able to define critical project criteria to ensure project completion.
  • Exercises independent judgment with broadly defined practices and policies in obtaining results.
  • Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.
  • Above average math skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Travel may be necessary, based on position.

This position pays: $62,000 - $78,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
