Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Granger IN - Granger, INPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: UndisclosedTravel Percentage: Road WarriorJob Category: EngineeringThis is a field position that requires out of town assignments that may include working 6-7 days per week. This includeshaving to stay in hotels for extended periods. All travel expenses are covered for out of town assignment.Responsibilities* Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.* Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components and other environmental control systems.* Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).* Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor's representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.* Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.* Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Weaver Project Manager.* Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.* Adhere to strict safety standards.* Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.* Provide clear documentation of findings and results.* Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.* Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.* Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.* Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.* Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.* Report any safety issues or concerns to management.* Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.Qualifications* HS Diploma.* At least 6 months of relevant experience in CQA and/or field based positions.* Good communication, writing, and organization skills.* Ability to use basic computer applications like Microsoft Office.* Willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment.* Ability to lift 50 pounds required.* Valid driver's license, including the ability to pass a motor vehicle review (MVR).From its inception in 1991, Weaver Consultants Group has been founded upon the tenets of attentive and responsive customer service, strong project management, and solid internal financial controls.
