Job Description:
HTI is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician Lead with a fortune 500 flooring manufacturer in Thomasville, NC. This position will be focused on overseeing 1 or 2 lines as well as helping training technicians including SOPs and training programs. This position is Direct Hire, M-F 1st shift (7AM-3PM). Pay starting at $42/hr.What They Offer:

What You Need:
  • Formal training and practical experience in an industrial setting as an Automation Technician
  • Associates degree in applied technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of practical hands-on experience in an industrial automated setting
  • Proficient with PLC control logic programming and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of high-pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling equipment
  • Sound understanding of and ability to utilize 480vac VFDs
What Your Role Will Look Like:The Engineering Tech Lead is responsible for the optimization of machine operation, which includes research, planning, design and follow-up documentation of projects within a highly automated manufacturing environment. The Engineering Tech Lead will also have a responsibility to train other Engineering/Automation techs.
  • Complies with all company safety rules and procedures
  • Plans, assists, documents and implements process improvement techniques and devices
  • Monitors and reacts in a timely manner to routine demand maintenance requirements
  • Participates in routine Preventive/Predictable Maintenance
  • Utilizes a variety of mechanical and electrical test equipment
  • Utilizes machining, electrical and mechanical trade skills to complete daily tasks
  • Analyzes machine downtime and reacts accordingly to improve machine efficiency
  • Provides accurate and immediate hands-on troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment including after-hours support
  • Will be responsible for the leadership of several associates.
  • Attend or teach any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Ensures equipment optimizations within the production process
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
