Job Description SummaryPosition Overview:The Student Ambassador for the Department of Engineering Technology plays a key role in representing Miami University Regionals' engineering programs to local high school students, particularly those in career tech engineering classes. Ambassadors will showcase Miami's engineering pathways, share their senior design projects, and engage with prospective students. This outreach role supports Miami's commitment to connecting with the local community and inspiring future engineers.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities & Duties:- Travel with a team to high school engineering classes, primarily in Butler and possibly Warren counties, to present Miami University Regionals' engineering programs and pathways. Students will need reliable transportation.
- Present senior design projects and discuss your experience as a Miami student to help prospective students understand the opportunities in Miami's engineering programs.
- Answer questions and engage students in discussions about Miami's engineering curriculum, student life, and career pathways.
- Assist with faculty-led workshops and outreach activities at partner high schools.
- Collaborate with Miami Regionals Engineering Faculty and Tech Prep coordinators to arrange visits and tailor presentations.

Qualifications:- Current Miami University Regionals Engineering Technology student.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a desire to share your Miami experience.
- Flexibility with scheduling to support visits to local high schools, based on high school class schedules.
